Modesty Spotlight: Jennie

I am honored to be featured on Hannah's blog.  Thank you again for hosting me on your modesty spotlight.  

Modesty is something that the Lord has been growing in me over the last several years.  He is refining me in this area.  I still have much to learn, but I also want to be used as His vessel to share why modesty is so valuable.  Here are a few reasons why I believe that modesty is of great worth in God's eyes.

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.  Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." 1 Peter 3:3-4

Modesty Spotlight: Lisa

Hello ladies,

I am Lisa from Olive Plants All Around My Table, and I am thrilled to be featured on Hannah's Modesty Spotlight. (Thanks again, Hannah! It was so much fun!)

So, what's the big deal about modesty anyway? Does what we wear really matter to the Lord?

Well, the issue of modesty is near and dear to my heart for 2 reasons:

1. 5 of my eight children are still at home. They are young and impressionable, and I want to set a godly example for them.
 

2. Most importantly, Christian women are commanded in Scripture to dress modesty. (1 Timothy 2: 9-10, 1 Peter 3: 3-4)
